About Us

Servprise International, Inc. creates products to ease the lives of IT personnel and reduce the costs associated with technology maintenance. We have been in business since May 2004. From 1998 to 2003, Servprise® President Cory Wallenstein owned and operated a small colocated hosting firm. As his business expanded and added additional web servers, he identified a growing need for quickly and easily recovering in the event of a server crash. His options at the time were slim; he could either travel to the datacenter himself, or pay a service technician at a cost of $100 per incident to reboot a crashed server.

In 2001, Wallenstein investigated current remote reboot appliances to help alleviate the costs of server maintenance, but was dissatisfied with the available options. With a background in Electrical Engineering, he knew all too well the dangers and hazards associated with "pulling the plug" on computer equipment. As a solution, he developed the WebReboot technology to remotely reboot his servers without power cycling.

Wallenstein partnered with Servprise Vice President Kevin Menard in May of 2004, and together they formed Servprise International, Inc. The purpose of Servprise is to bring the WebReboot to mass market to enable IT people around the world to safely reboot their servers.

To date, Servprise has achieved many successes. In April 2005, Servprise placed second at the Strage Innovation awards for innovative technology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Shortly thereafter, in June of 2005, they completed and won first place in the CEI All-Out Business Plan Challenge, also sponsored by WPI. Servprise founders are also active participants in the WPI Venture Forum, an organization dedicated to the startup of high-technology businesses in the New England area.
